Alert readers will have noticed some changes to the colour scheme for this site lately. It should be stable now for a couple of months. I hope you like the new scheme. I think the white background gives the site more of a spacious feel and the other colours are closer to my original concept for the site – before I fell for the Decode theme.
More site news, but here, at least, I start to move towards actual content. The Mohai Project is, as noted, a study of the island of Mohai. To study Mohai properly though, I will need to look at the neighbours it interacts most with.
You’re probably wondering what kind of odd person spends time writing about non-existent places and languages. Well, I’m happy to report that we’re a fairly normal bunch. We’re interested in people and how they talk and that’s about as normal as it gets.
The work of conlangers and conworlders is basically fiction, but it’s fiction where the background becomes the foreground, where the hero is an entire society and the plot is its history.
Since starting my previous site, I have come to appreciate better how blogs work. Apparently, they need not just be viewed chronologically. Thanks to tags and categories, similar posts can be viewed together. Who knew?
